I Made It
If I move on,
can I heal?
Find peace and
sanity in my world?
Justify my happiness
over another’s pain?
If thoughts ramble
on too long,
confusion knocking
at my door
so, I move swiftly,
trying to be the
victor of this sadistic
marathon of life.
Oh, yes,
I want to cross
that finish line first.
Wipe the sweat off
my brow.
Put my hands on
my heaving chest.
Close my eyes.
